Community Outreach
Coder Dojo - I founded a weekly after school technology workshop for students aged 10 to 16
years old. These workshops were active, hands on sessions where students learned about
technology, basic electronics, soldering, and presenting ideas to their peers.
Maker Faire - Is an international group of tech enthusiasts of all ages that meet annually
throughout the US to share innovation and technology enthusiasm. I volunteered to assist the
Nashville event in 2017 and 2018 for attendees displaying tech and STEAM projects.
Nashville Software School - I was an instructor leading adult students through hands-on,
project and team based learning for careers in software development, UI/UX design, data
analytics.
NashMicro - A public makers group comprised of local Nashville and surrounding area tech
enthusiasts that met monthly. I volunteered as an instructor and assisted attendees with
microcontroller and tech related presentations, etc.
Nashville .Net Users Group - An educational and social hub for the Nashville .NET community.
I presented and hosted a 2 hour Xamarin workshop for a group of over 100 attendees complete
with Q&A and donated vendor giveaway at workshop conclusion. I was also a member from
2014 to 2019.
Music City Code Conference - I was a volunteer assistant with a Microsoft sponsored seminar
discussing IOT (Raspberry Pi) with Azure WorkShop in Nashville 2018 at Vanderbilt University.
DEVUp Conference - A technology conference for learning and networking. I volunteered at the
2022 conference as an intake and registration assistant. I also attended DevOps and
Development Technology presentations.
